our story - Big water coffee roasters
In 2007, Big Water Coffee opened as a cafe and coffee shop. Our roastery was added in 2010 and significantly expanded in 2013 to where we are today. Currently, we roast about 60,000 pounds of beans each year, right in downtown Bayfield, Wisconsin.
The space we occupy in downtown Bayfield has been a cafe and community gathering place in some form since the 1940's and we are operating our business with the intention of keeping that tradition going.
Stop in any time of the year and you will find that our cafe is a hub of activity for visitors and locals alike. And while you are here, be sure to take a peek at the Roastery, which is easily viewed from the comfort of the cafe seating area.
Fair Trade & Organic
Here at Big Water, we recognize that we are part of a global community and so we do our very best to make sure that our footprint is as small as possible. Most of our beans are certified Fair Trade and Organic, look for the label on each of the packages.
